Like the thread subject, anyone knows how to change the hotkeys in the emulator, specifically the F1->F7 buttons

I don't think there is, but I wish there were. That way I could play Guitar Hero in the style of Frets on Fire, where you hold your keyboard like a guitar and use te f1-f5 keys.

Edit: Like this dude is doing:

I thought of a somewhat complicated way to do it. Use a program like this:

http://sharpkeys.codeplex.com/

To remap F1 to say numpad 1, F2 to numpad 2, etc.

Then in game map the crossmapped button e.g. when you press F1 in makes numpad 1 which you've assigned to Triangle. You only have to run the remapping program when you play.

This is a great idea. I've honestly been wondering all day how to do this and this should work. I'm gonna try it!

(I have a guitar controller but no way to connect to PC >_<)

Edit: I forgot that app writes those changes to the registry and requires a reboot!

Make note of that if you try this(I'm still trying it)

You would set up sharpkeys like this:

The rest I will sort out when my ISO rips.

I'm gonna say this again just to be safe: The app I posted above remaps keys by writing to the system registry, which means the changes are computer wide, require a reboot or relog to apply, and the same to remove!

You have been warned!

could have been easier, though :
you just create a pcsx2_keys.ini file and follow those instructions : https://code.google.com/p/pcsx2/source/detail?r=4917
and
https://code.google.com/p/pcsx2/source/detail?r=4918
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

Thank you, sensei.

Good thing I didn't finish testing the other way out yet.
