Character moving slow in one direction (All games)

Apologies if this has been posted before, I'm new to this forum. 

I've noticed any time I move down and left diagonally (Southwest) my character moves at the walking speed rather than the normal running speed in multiple games (Recently Kingdom Hearts 2 and Persona 3 FES). I've rebound my controller's left stick multiple times to see if it was a binding issue, but unless I'm missing something, that didn't change anything. I'm using an Xbox 360 controller, if that means anything.

Help or advice appreciated and thank you in advance!

Increase the sensitivity on the stick in LilyPad's settings. Try out various ones until it starts working correctly.
