the first answer was pretty helpful, however when the game (Breath of Fire V) loads it states "cheats found!" but afterwards "cheats loaded:0". NTSC codes for a NTSC version.

I try to get this working; converting doesn't seem to work tho:

If one asks about cheats, and a second asks about cheats - it should be an evidence that those stickies can't be found easily.

Out of all the stickies I looked into the the "Configuration Guide" and "FAQ" one, skimming via windows search for the keyword "cheat" and "code", resulting in ONE result:

Often they are not. In a few cases, they allow you to go further ingame compared to without, but by default you should leave them off. They can also be used for cheats.

I don't blame you for being corny if you have to answer those stuff over and over again, but in this case IT IS SIMPLY NOT OBVIOUS and can't be easily found.

try labeling it better (how could I know that "cheats" are called "patches" out of the blue hn?) or give it its own sticky...

It's 5 stickies (I don't think you'd look in the thank you thread). It's not so hard to read them through, at least the first post of each sticky. I don't call that hard to find, I call the people who can't find it lazy. I mean that's what stickies are supposed to be, important threads that everyone should read.
Cheats are patches in the way that cheats use the PCSX2 patch system, but there added cheats in the title too.

I converted it from codebreaker 7+ to raw via omniconvert, resulting in this:

when I load my save state it doesn't work, even though the console states Cheats found! Cheats Loaded: 2. my d-counter is at 4.80% and it increases normally.

I remember reading about a request in this forum for exactly (and only) this patch, but wasn't answered. So please, I need help - if this doesn't work I'm gonna have to abort the game (...again! tried it like 3 times in the past normally, but that mechanic ruins all the fun).

You should probably load from a memory card save and not a saved state for cheats to work. You can check the remember me checkbox in the forum so you don't have to login every time you visit

it worked! =D - used the codebreaker master code v1 and rebooted full. this time it worked for some reason (as I tried that beforehand).
