CoD2 and CoD3 lagging
#1
Not sure why but I still get slowdown on Call of Duty 2 and 3. I'm running an MSI r9 390X gpu with a 4.1ghz quadcore cpu and 16gb of ram, so I would think I would have no problems whatsoever. Is there something I need to adjust in the settings?

The games are very demanding and don't run quite well on any system. You will probably get a better internal framerate if you use the software renderer. Also, make sure you're using the latest PCSX2 dev build found here: https://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/

Make sure 8-Bit textures is enabled in GSdx, MTVU hack is enabled and EE cyclerate +1 will improve speed slightly - just don't use any setting higher than that as it will worsen performance.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):
[code]
Pasted emulog goes here

CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

No luck. Enabled 8 bit textures and tried every setting (-2 to +2) on the EE Cyclerate. Settng the VU Cycle Stealing to max helps a little bit but it still is not quite running up to speed.

Here are my exact system specs if that helps:
Mobo: ASUS A55M-E
CPU : AMD A10 6800K 4.1Ghz Quad Core
GPU : MSI R9 390X 8GB GAMING
RAM : Avexir 16GB (8GB x 2) 1600mhz DDR3

And here is the emuLog:

That CPU does have an STR below 1600 where it would reauire something closer to 2000.
Better keep playing it on your PS2 for now...

Actually got it to work fairly well by Enabling fast CDVD, still not perfect but playable. I'll just live with that and Finest Hour since that seems to run with no problems.
Thanks for trying though.
