Compiling problem with Xubuntu 13.04 32 bit
#11
I know this isn't really pcsx2 related but may help other users in the long run. I opened a bug report. The dev in question wants me to patch a file that doesn't seem to exist on my computer. Tongue

This is a patch for your kernel Wink You can get the source here https://www.kernel.org/. Check ubuntu forum for explanation how to compile the kernel.

I've compiled pcsx2 using this branch and I got blackscreen in Dragon Quest 8, while DaTankAC has good speed with minor graphical errors in hardware mode (Experimental), why is that? it is because I have an nvidia video card?

The branch was merged on the trunk. So better use the trunk (r5674 exactly, I didn't test Gabest latest update). First check that SW mode is working. Nvidia card (driver) work much better than AMD one (driver).

Over the weekend i tried the lastest version on the ppa with a nvidia 650gtx and graphics in HW mode where all messed up (even in bios) also and in some situations i also got a blackscreen.

It feels like an issue with shader compilation. Set debug_ogl_shader to 1 in GSdx.ini

Can you share with us the ouput of the terminal and your config file.

Try to set ovveride_GL_ARB_copy_image to 1 in GSdx.ini, and retry.

Software Mode works fine here, no problems, the black screen and graphical issues are only in Hardware Mode (Experimental) Sad, I'll check the trunk version right now Smile

Are you sure that debug_ogl_shader is set to 1 in your inis/GSdx.ini file?

The extensions is only for advance fxaa and require dx11 GPU.
