#1
Question
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend settings for me as to where im going wrong, my game gets really laggy and the sound stutters. This happens with all games I play.

My PC spec:
Windows Vista
ATI Radeon HD 4770 512MB
3GB Ram
AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ (2 CPU) 2.7GHz

Heres my current config screenshots of PCSX2:

Any advice and tips would be awesome Laugh If you need anymore information just ask xD

The easiest way is probably to update to the latest beta of PCSX2 and the latest beta plugins package, combined with using the latest GSdx...

it is, you just got the up2date stable version of it Wink but the latest beta revisions of pcsx2 and plugins feature some neat improvements in both speed and compatibility, e.g. the new vu cycle stealing speed hack and an ati specific slowdown fix in the newer gsdx revisions. so try them out, i never experienced any major issues with them.

You have the 0.9.6 version, but the public beta available here on the forum fixes many bugs and also performs faster in quite many games. However some things might "break", but those are quite few.

You beat me too it zero29... Guess it was your turn now Wacko

V0id, you can't link to bios downloads. The only legal way to acquire the necessary BIOS files is to get them from your own PS2.

Sirkova, what game are you having trouble with, should help people to narrow down the problem (which is likely to be your CPU; I have the same one but really a faster one is needed for many games).

Excuse me, but can you please elaborate? I don't understand what you mean.

However if you mean that you can post specific configurations for games that made them playable then we have the Screenshot thread for that: http://forums.pcsx2.net/thread-4256.html
