Also running 6 GBs DDR3 RAM at 1333 Mhz.

Off topic - O.o seriously?? what games can't be played with 4.0ghz overclocked speed? edited: What kind of fps are we talking?

Also, would having the best video card available help any for that specific game?
Windows 7 - Asus G73jh-a1 - 17-720qm @ 1.6 GHz (2.8 GHz)(2.4ghz)(1.73ghz) - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 @ 700/1000 (sometimes oc to 800/1100) - 8 gig ram

Running PCSX2 0.98. Overclocked my Intel Core i7 920 (Bloomfield) to 3.4 Ghz. Just tried playing Rogue Galaxy, and I'm getting MAJOR slowdown! I'm getting as low as 24 FPS. Is there anything else I can do to get it up to a STEADY 60 FPS?
This is my complete hardware:

Intel Core i7 920 (Bloomfield) overclocked to 3.4 Ghz
ATI Radeon 5870 Video Card with July 2011 Drivers
6 GBs DDR3 RAM @1333 MHZ

If it's my hardware that's the problem, what would be recommended? I want to run ALL games at their BEST, with ALL the bells and whistles on, and at 1920x1080p resolution (46" HDTV).
Again, list of games I hope to play with PCSX2:
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X2
Final Fantasy XII
Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts 2
Dragon Quest VIII
Rogue Galaxy
