Configure Video Card

Wondering how to configure my video card. It's an ATI Radeon 4970. Am I correct in assuming that I want Direct3D10 (Hardware)? What about other options?

With this, and a Core i7 920, should I be able to run PS2 games just like they were on my actual PS2?

Overclock the i7.
I do believe your i7 at stock versus my II at 4GHZ, in emulation, the II would come out on top when using SSE2, but the i7 can use SSE4.1
But yes, you should be able to.

You should try to overclock it to at least 4.0Ghz, then you will be able to play 85% of the games on emulator with 100% speed (just like the actualy PS2), for the rest 15% demanding games, we might can only wait till PCSX2 supports quad core or so ....

It's telling me to update DirextX. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. Is this a problem?
As far as 100% speed, this is what I plan on playing:
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X2
Final Fantasy XII
Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts 2
Dragon Quest VIII
Rogue Galaxy

Should I have any problems with those (Without overclocking the processor)?

The last 2 are the most demanding from the list, not sure if you'll get good speeds at stock but the rest will run fine mostly.

What exactly is it downloading? Not DirectX 9 or 10 is it?
What if I overclocked to 3.2 Ghz?
Also running 6 GBs DDR3 RAM at 1333 Mhz.
