Constant Crash
#1
Hey guys I know this kind of post has been posted many times before but, and you're going to tell me to look at the older posts. Unfortunately i'm not having any luck. I just recently downloaded the emulator, the games run fine and smooth but keeps crashing. I'm pretty sure its not the game because I've tried several others. At the moment i'm trying to play Monster Hunter but can't through 3-5 minutes of game play without crashing.
Some notable things I noticed when i'm idle in say, town or something no crashes will happen, but when I would leave the town and load into a different area or walk around for a bit I would crash 3-5 minutes in. Sometimes when I load saved data I would crash instantly I.E :

From there on no other info pops up in the console area. When I receive the "pcsx2-r5350.exe has encountered a problem and...." and look further into information about the error this is whats listed.

If it means anything I can run ps1, GC, and N64 Emulators fine.

there are 2 things you can try. First try using DirectSound in the SPU2-X config instead of XAudio2, a lot of people have been getting crashes from that recently.

Second thing to try is update your graphics driver. On a machine the age of yours, you shouldn't really be getting errors like

The first option you gave me was a no go, I remember doing this in the past trying to figure out my problem. The second option there were 2 latest downloads, the 1st said my machine didnt meet the minimum requirements, and for the second it notified the one i'm currently using is newer and more up to date than the one given. I could be wrong I'm no computer wiz but after reading a few tutorials I went to the Intel website and searched for my driver. If i'm doing this wrong could you give me a few steps on what I need to do?

Sure, go to this site: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect

allow it to scan/install the app, it will then tell you if there is a newer driver available for your card. In fact if any others show a new driver, you should get them also.

Yeah this was a great help but I think Intel discontinued my graphics model?

Quite possibly, you might have to buy a graphics card ;p

in the mean time, try changing your gs plugin to ZeroGS.

Actually you could also try setting GSdx to DX9 software mode, maybe see if that works

Software mode will help, first copy u'r game dvd to u'r hard disk.then make iso with imgburn.use only imgburn not any other tool.select linuz iso dvd in plugin/bios selecter.select in menu cd/dvd-iso & browse to u'r game & play.update directx using web updater.update graphic card,go to http://downloadcenter.intel.com & select automatic update utility.it'll tell u which things need update.update all.u must have java installed on u'r computer.u also need to install sysreqlab from intel.don't worry it'll automatically install when u select update utility.also see pcsx2 tweaks on youtube.they're very helpful.hope it'll help u Smile
