Controller is "Detached"

I played PCSX2 a few months ago and got a pretty far way through Persona 3. Now, when I plug in my controller, it says [Detached] before it. I have PCSX2 1.4.0. and I'm really not sure what to do. I don't know much about PCSX2 but it worked fine a few months ago. What do I do?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.

• Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  
• The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  
• Any non default settings you are using, such as speed hacks or presets.
  
• Your GSdx graphics settings (a picture of the settings dialog is preferred)
  
• What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

How do I reconfigure it?

it mean's the controller's index changed in lilly pad so you'll have to remap it all in lilly pad.

The same way you did it the first time.
LilyPad=>Pad1=>Clear All=>Press each button and set a key

If the gamepad support XInput,enable the option from General(XInput (Xbox 360 controllers only)...the "only" part is not really true because my gamepad is not XBOX360 controller but it support DInput and XInput),disable DirectInput and the controls will be set automatically(unless you have the annoying slot changing problem which is usually fixed by windows restart))
