Controller not working for Castlevania Curse of Darkness

Hello. My controller works with all other games I have except this one. I turned on the option to see buttons being pressed, but nothing shows up when I press them when in game. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am using 8bitdo Pro 2 and it is in the current version. I am also using the latest version of PCSX2.

Shut down the game, if it is running
Right click the game in your games list
Click Properties
Write down the Serial value found on the Summary tab
Click Tools > Open Data Directory
Go into gamesettings
Look for a file which starts with the Serial value you wrote down
If such a file exists, close PCSX2, then delete the file
Open PCSX2 and launch the game again; it should now properly recognize your controls
