Couple Of Performance Questions

you cant install dx10 on xp (there are ways but it will mostly destroy things)

there is a small boost if you use dx10 in pcsx2 (1-3fps or 5 at best, sometimes is slower also) but the major reason is that d3d10 has less bugs and displays games better in some occasions.

well going from xp to win 7 x64 is something you will really like Wink trust me

dx10 in pcsx2 boosted my fps by at least 10 in some cases, it's very game-dependant

iakoboss7: I doesn't matter to me because my main os is linux, I've installed xp on dual-boot just for playing pcsx2 =)

Thanks for the tip, guys! I'll try installing dx10 on xp and maybe consider installing win7.

dx10 won't work on XP, and Win7 is a VERY good choice to upgrade to (avoid vista if at all possible)

Now I have a Linux/W7-64bit dual-boot setup. I'll update/install a couple of drivers and give pcsx2 a spin, gsdx is already configured to use dx10.
