(Crash) No error crashing
#1
Not sure what is going on exactly.
So, had been playing both FFX and FFXII flawlessly. Had zero issues whatsoever. However, here recently, I decided to final go through and beat dragon quest 8. But now I'm getting random crashes with no errors either through windows or through the log file. The emu seems to be running beautifully. I run a constant 60 fps with little to no frame drops, game looks amazing; however, the emu will just up and close. No reports, nothing in the logs, just no signs of what could be going on. So i'm a bit stumped, maybe you guys could help?

btw pc specs are
Lenovo y510p
8 gb ram
2 nvidia 750m gpu
core i7 2.2ghz

I've tried running this is OpenGL, DX11, DX9 (hw/sw for both)
I've tweaked every setting to basically everything I can.

As I said, speed wise, almost everything I do doesn't affect that, since the game is just a steady 60fps pretty much on everything.
I just can't figure out why it will randomly up and close out of it.
Also, it's not exactly in the same spot or same location or on time intervals. It'll either let me play for a few minutes or a few hours, just random when it does it.

I'd post the log, but other than the emu/game booting up, there's nothing else in the logs. just the normal stuff.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

Maybe your video drivers(391.35 is not the latest amd maybe there is something wrong with those)
You can also try fast boot instead of full
Are you using any non default settings(emulator\gsdx\spu2-x)
Reply

If that is your whole log it could be crashing on the sound output.

What is the "output module" set to in SPU2-X? have you tried changing it to another one?

-_- urg, i hated editing posts (didn't post it correctly)

Anyway, so as far as I know i'm running latest build, not sure though, i'll check that tonight.

As for the spu, I've ran multiple different settings since I heard default sets have known issues with certain games. I'll test some tonight post work and get back with the details on that one.
