Crashes when too slow

Whenever i run Gran Turismo 3 it always crashes before i start a race. It also goes really slow in some parts. How can i make it run better?

My pc specs:
AMD Athlon x2 6000+ 3.1 ghz dual core
4gb RAM
Radeon HD 4850 512mb

get more ram if u are on vista or get a phenom 2 x4 black editon + 2x radeon 4870HDx2 gpus
AMD Phenom x4 CPU 8GB geil black dragon ram (4x 2GB) 1x 1TB hard drive 1x 320GB hard drive really s**t asus 512MB 3450HD GPU samsung DVD-RW drive with lightscribe and speedplus and more fans than i need

the ram doesn't have anything to do with pcsx2 Closedeyes, it could just be the version of pcsx2 that he's using. Smile

Get more RAM? He has 4GB. Posting what amounts to "buy this rather expensive list of stuff" without an explanation really isn't the way to go.

Have you tried running the latest beta / use the latest GSDX version? Sometimes that makes all the difference.
