Crashing and green textures issues!
#1
My first post. I will get right to the point. When I start Tenchu, the emulator will start up, then show green texture bugs for the FMV and developer cards. Then it will crash. If I change the renderer to software, it will show flickering instead of green textures, allow me to select a starting character, then crash. I will post my system specs below as that seems to be the first step in getting information.

Windows 10 Home 64-bit

CPU
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 72 °C
Matisse 7nm Technology

Please post a copy of the `emulog.txt` file so we can help you better.

- Check `Tools > Enable File Logging`. If it is already checked, ignore this step.
- If you ticked the box in the above step, restart PCSX2.
- Click `Tools > Open Data Directory` to jump to your PCSX2 folder.
- Reproduce your issue.
- Close PCSX2, **and do not open it again.**
- Go back to your PCSX2 folder. Open the `logs` folder, and upload the `emulog.txt` file to this channel.

Yes. It's Tenchu. I was told this emulator has backwards compatibility. If that was wrong though, I can download ePSXe instead.

Backward compatibility isn't good at all.
And don't use epsxe, it's outdated.
Use duckstation instead

Ohhh. So my issue the whole time was using a PS1 game for the PS2 emulator? I actually feel dumb as hell now. Let me try a PS2 game and see what happens, just to be safe.

Thank you, jesalvein. It was what you said. PS2 ROMs only. No PS1.

I have another question, if you don't mind. Is there a way to fully wipe the emulator and restart? It doesn't install so that won't work, and I want to go over running it for the first time again and properly set up things like the bios directory and such.

Thank you for being so helpful. Seriously. Sorry for being a dumb-dumb who thought the emulator was backwards compatible.
