also make sure you have an audio output enabled, if there is no speakers or headphones enabled or anything, it will fail to work.

According to what darkwraith007 said in the SPU2X thread and then the tests I did afterwards, it will still work, but before launching it says:

SPU2-X System Message
Failed creating mastering voice: 0X88960001

If you have no audio out.

Yes sir. After updating the DirectX, that seemed to do it for me, and it now works with the first Audio configuration too! I appreciate all the help, thank you guys so much!
