Yeah most people don't change it from default which throttles both the cpu and gpu down when unplugged. Setting it to High Performance causes the system to not do that. You can always change it back when not using PCSX2 so help conserve battery life if you need it.

I have a similar problem with a new laptop.

Processor: AMD A12 9700P
Graphic card: AMD Radeon R8 M435DX
RAM: 12 Gb
I've checked that it is setted on high performance, but the emulation speed go down of 50%

Could you help me? What is wrong now?

because that CPU is definitely weaker than your previous one

What are your ee% and gs% when it's slow ?

tried disabling amd cool n' quiet ?

That's something you'll find in your motherboard's bios. (if it still exists. can't guarantee you'll have it on this model)
