You don't need to save more, $500 can build you a really nice gaming rig.

$500 gets you into a really nice APU build. Hell, it can get you into an FX-6300 build.

I built my FX 6300 + HD 7870 + 8GB RAM + 1TB HDD (the original version of my current machine) for $520
