DBZ Budokai 3 & Infinite World
#1
Hi all,

at first I have to say, you guys do awesome work!
Never thought that PS2 games will be emulated that good! Cool

But now my problem(s) in the following 2 games:
DBZ Budokai 3 and DBZ Infinite World

Some (maybe all?) characters get funny face colourings or there are stripes across the screen starting at the character.
Unfortunately I don't have any screenshots of this (read below) but I will post them if the problem occurs again.
(Happened in ZeroGS 0.97.1 and GSdx 1476 0.1.15)

Somehow I solved this by myself, but I didn't remember which option was the correct one. Ninja

So the bigger problem is solved I think but now there is another small one. There are some white stripes in the faces of the characters.
It can be seen good if you choose a character without much hair.
(Happens only in GSdx)

I'm using the public beta version of PCSX2 (1474).
In the processor options everything is enabled except "microVU" (the beta thing) and I don't use any game fixes.
I don't use any speed hacks because I'm getting 50 FPS almost all the time with frame limiting. Happy
In the "Advanced" options the following ones are checked:

EE Recs Options
Round Mode: Chop/Zero
Clamp Mode: None
Flush to Zero + Denormals are Zero

VU Recs Options are the same as above

At last my system spec:
AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE (4 x 3,2GHz)
2 x 2 GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM
Nvidia Geforce 8800GT

I think that's it!
If you need any additional information I give them to you.
I hope you can help me solving this little problem.

Try disabling filtering in GSdx or checking native. In either case,it's still pretty minor...

Hmm, that didn't work, there aren't any changes if I disable filtering or check native (only the graphic doesn't look that good anymore).
I tried the last official version of PCSX2 (0.9.6?) with GSdx 890 0.1.14 and it works well, no white stripes but other graphic glitches. Sad
Are there many versions of GSdx between 890 and 1474?
Maybe I should test some of them.

Okay, little summary of some GSdx revisions with PCSX2 revision 1474.
I tested it with the following graphic options:
- D3D internal res.: 2048 x 2048
- Texture Filtering
- Wait Vsync
- Logarithmic Z
- Alpha Correction (FBA)
Again, I didn't use any speed hacks or game fixes.

And now the results of some GSdx revisions with DBZ Infinite World.
r841: Perfect graphics, average 28 fps.
r962: Perfect graphics, avg. 29 fps.
r1005: Perfect graphics, avg. 29 fps.
r1006: Perfect graphics, avg. 29 fps.
r1075: White stripes on charakters skin, avg. 36 fps.
r1250: White stripes on charakters skin, avg. 45 fps.
r1351: White stripes on charakters skin, avg. 45 fps.
r1551: White stripes on charakters skin, avg. 45 fps.

As you can see, the white stripes first appeared in the revision 1075.
Is it now possible to figure out which part of the code is the reason for this?
