Well, tried disabling cheats, and it seemed to be working better but then it froze up and threw the error again

You're still loading WS patches.

Make sure there's no check next to it.

And did you even try the EE timing hack like I suggested?

I dsiabled cheats, which is what someone said to do. and I've been running the ee timing hack since I played R&C 1. does it need a restart to fully deactivate cheats?: EDIT: Oh, never mind, found the widescreen option, duh... Yeah it runs fine now, thanks guys!
