DQ 8 King Pavan - no cutscene

I had the same problem. I ended up disabling the cheats and the scene with Pavan loaded just fine. I hope that solves your problem.

If something like this comes up, *always* suspect the cheats causing problems.
It may not even be good enough to temporarily disable a cheat, though that's more rare.
