DQ8 with Q6600
#1
Is it possible to run DQ8 with a Q6600 (no OC) and a GTX 460 SE at about x2 or x3 resolution, with the MTVU hack?

Or will I need to OC the CPU still? I have generic ram so I don't know how well it will OC. For the GTX 460 SE though, I think it might be easier to OC if I have to.

Ah yeah. I was hoping MTVU would make use of the 3rd/4th cores which would help though. Would it?

If not, I would have to look into OCing but that means I'll need new ram.

50% of the game will run below full speed, the other half will be fast enough.
You'll need roughly 3Ghz to make that 20/80 and 3.5Ghz for 5/95.

At about 3ghz will it be significantly slower in the 20/80 part? Like 30fps? Or 45-50 ish?
Also this is with the MTVU right?

MTVU hack will help a lot here. MTVU Hack makes use of 3'rd core. Some games a benefit a lot while some don't. Tongue2

See that games requires 3.2+ Ghz too play it at full speed. EE Cycle rate Speedhack helps a lot. Make sure to change the power plan to High Performance.

Although this game is GPU Intensive much but your Card will be able to handle that at good speed even at 2x Native. Smile

Rama, that game will run almost about 50-55 fps in most areas. Quite Playable Huh
