DS4Windows - J2K
Good job, guys, I love what you've done with the program. I only lament that the mouse support feels drifty, but does anyone else feel that way? I think the jitter prevention I had long ago effectively implemented a dead zone sort of feeling that made it easier to move fine distances.

Hello thank you for this amazing piece of software. It was working great for me until all of a sudden my controller wouldn't show up anymore. My old controller still shows up and works, however my new controller doesn't. Any idea why this happens i couldn't figure it out.
Hi does anyone know why my DS4 was showing previously and now it never appears as connected? It seems it happened after fiddling and testing with inputmapper 1.7a

How would I delete all related drivers and anything that could be causing the issue?
For seemingly no apparent reason, DS4Windows has stopped functioning. Each time I click on it, I am instantly greeted with "DS4Windows has stopped working." I had a really esoteric input for Devil May Cry 3 that took me ages to get working and really don't want to lose that. Please, any help would be appreciated.
Hello,
Thank you to all involved in developing this wonderful piece of software!
I am looking for some help/assistance here. I've successfully connected my ps4 controller to my windows 10 laptop, and overall it works just nice.
But the game I play (Dead Space) won't allow to remap any of the controls. Therefore, some of the game functionality is just not available to use from the controller - only from keyboard.

I tried to edit the profile in DS4Windows, and map directly the desired button on controller with the same keyboard button as shown in game controls - it is not use, doesn't work.

My first though would be to reassign needed controls from within a game, but when I edit any of the controls from the game, no controller input is taken by it. I mean, I press 'edit', then press the button on controller, and it just won't change anything, as if there is no input coming.

How possible can I solve it? I love playing Dead Space with the controller very much, but some controls are just missing, can't get full gaming experience...

Any advice would be highly appreciated!
hey, i could choose what controller (xbox or ds4) i want my dualshock to be previously, but now this button disappeared. how can i do it now? sorry for silly question.

That's right another thread! I'm finally making another thread and leaving electrobrains' alone, as I now have a website for info and builds. The new site is at ds4windows.com.

So for those that don't know:

What is DS4Windows?
DS4Windows was a project originally started by InhexSTER by the name of DS4 Tool. The tool was later branched off by electrobrains. I then later made my own branch of it. This program allows the PS4 controller (DualShock 4) to emulate an Xbox 360 controller, which allows far more games to be compatible with the DualShock 4 than out of the box.

Wait so there's other versions before it? So what's so special about yours?
Well I really just wanted to make my own version with my own UI and features. The first two of the programmers hadn't had things I wanted such a tool to have such as profiles.

So where can I download?
The first build as of moving to new servers is below, however you can always get the newest build via ds4windows.com.

...and installing it?
It's a portable program, meaning you can place the program where ever you want: in your downloads folder or program files, it's up to you. If it's your first time using the tool, you will need to install a x360 emulated driver for this to properly function, DS4Windows will properly walk you through this.

I get double input in some games or  pausing is mapped to another button
Check Hide DS4, some games can actually read the DS4's input without this program. Make sure to connect your controller while the game isn't open  as hiding the ds4 only works when such games or clients like steam or uplay aren't running/taking control of the controller. You will see a warning in the log/bottom of DS4Windows if the controller could not be exclusively gained.

SIMPLE & CLEAN UI
[Image: RaNtdQ6.png]
Since the idea is to get to get your controller ready for games, The UI was made to make to be quick to pick up. Once first launched, the tool takes your through the setup, gives you a default profile and you're ready to go, or if you choose you can change things to your heart's content.

PROFILE SYSTEM
[Image: Gg8ljnl.png]
With profiles, it makes it easier to quickly swap through various settings for your controller. You can set up controls for certain games, or set the lightbar to your favorite color. You can even swipe two fingers along the touchpad to swap profiles without the need to even open back the program.

TONS OF OPTIONS
[Image: WickedUnsungHorse.gif]
From control mapping, to touchpad sensitivity, to marcos, to rainbow lightbar, to motion controls, to launching a program with profiles, there are plenty of settings to play around with.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask in this thread.

Changelog (Full changelog + older builds available here)

Version 1.4.27

Version 1.4.269
Fixed trying to edit actions with Xbox Game DVR
Fixed Hide DS4 crashing DS4Windows on 64-bit machines

Version 1.4.267
Fixes for adding programs to auto profiles

Excelent software! Just tried it with one of my favorite games MvC2 and it worked like a charm on my laptop! Thank you for such a great program! One question... I was wondering if the nature of the program is to emulate an Xbox360 controller... can the program theorically make a PS4 controller work on an XBOX 360 console by porting the software as a homebrew on the XBOX360?
Hello everyone! I just joined the forum. Feels good to be a part of the community. Sorry if my English isn't that good, I'm from Brazil ^_^

I bought a PS4 V2 controller and the official Dualshock 4 Bluetooth Adapter from Sony. Both were working good for a while but right now I'm having trouble with 2 of my back USB ports (I got like 7 in total, 4 in the back and 3 in the front). I plug in the Adapter and it turns on perfectly. But after I turn the controller on, it won't recognize it. I try to press the buttons, move the analogs, but nothing... Then I have to unplug it from the port and plug it on any of the other ones. It's happened with 1 of them, and after a while, it happened on its neigh port as well. It's like the Adapter is "killing" the connection on the USB ports one by one, and will stop working with all the others I'll try to connect. I'm afraid if it will "kill" the connection with the port I'm currently using.

I don't know what's happening. I tried to reinstall DS4 and the drivers but it didn't work. I tried restarting the PC, but didn't work as well.
It sucks to have a motherboard without Bluetooth.

Oh, BTW: Idk if it has anything to do with it, but I use to recharge the controller via USB cable, but I use the front USB doors.

Can you guys help me out with this? Thanks in advance!
