Destroy All Humans! Graphical overlay issues

I'm having this weird graphical overlay in the first Destroy All Humans! I've switched between all the graphical renderers and nothing. How do I fix this? I'm also using Dev Build 3133 which as of an hour ago is the second to latest build.

Also, this game apparently has a native widescreen setting in the game but I'm not sure how to get it to work. Do I have to use a widescreen hack even though it's somehow "natively" supported?

can't tell about widescreen feature since i don't own this game, but IIRC, using software mode fixed that overlay error.
can you try stable version, just to confirm it could be a regression ?

I can confirm that this issue also exists on stable build 1.4.0. Just tested it. Only the sofware renderers work correctly

It didn't allow you to attach them because they were too huge. Change screenshots format to .jpg from .png before attaching them here.

Yes the software modes on both the latest Dev version and 1.4.0 work correctly. It's the hardware modes (OpenGL & Direct3D 11) that I'm bringing attention to
