Dev9 Ethernet Help
#1
Hi, I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. I also disabled UAC so there shouldn't be any admin troubles.

When I click configure for Dev9 for the beta version of PCSX2, I get a message box with the title DEV9null Msg and the description is "Nothing to Configure". And when I try to setup my network adapter, I get this:

No hardware is connected.
Make sure hardware is connected.
Return to the Network Settings menu.

How can I get the ethernet working on PCSX2?

Null means just that, Null. Nothing. The plugin emulates nothing.

If you do a forum search you can find a really outdated beta dev9 plugin that sorta works, but doesn't get official support.

There's a "How to play online" link in the FAQ, try that:

I downloaded from here. http://cid-47d60daecd484d97.skydrive.liv...gaDev9.dll

I still get the error for setting up the network connection.

I try with my original disc but it doesn't work, should that make it work?

megadev is not a network plugin as far as I know, here check this thread for the right ones:

Thanks guys, it works now.

How did you fix the hardware issue? I can't figure out how to get my emulator to detect my hardware. I've tried to download the dev9gig plugin but everytime I try to activate it, it makes my pcsx2 emulator freeze up and shut down.

Try changing the network card from the plugin's configuration.
Also read the guide on how to use the plugin.

I've done that multiple times. I even tried an older version of pcsx2. They always lock up on me and windows closes the program. I have wincap. I have all the necessary software and my laptop's spec exceed the minimum requirements. I'm stumped and not sure what to do.
Correction. I can't edit or change my network card in the configuration because when I select the plugin and click apply it locks up. Then windows 7 shuts down the program.

Here is the error I can read inside the Dev9gig plugin when I open it. Please note I have made sure that my C++ runtime is up to date. The computer is only 3 weeks old and it's a gaming laptop.

Oh, also make sure to use full boot. I think that worked better.
