Did something change recently with GZ files?
#1
Just updated to the latest nightly build and now none of my roms will load. This ,happened a while ago and it seemed to be related to the devs killing off GZ support. Has this happened again and why?

*Edit*
Started a full clean install and getting an error. any clues? never had an issue before

Been testing and it seems related to the Memory card folder? This folder has been with me since 2017 but when its loaded on the newest revision it refused to boot anything and throws up the error above.
Any ideas on this?>

Can you upload your memcard here? There are no plans to stop supporting gz nor destroying old memcards.

hope all is ok in this. thanks

I seem to have found the problem folder

BESLES-54465Save1 If i delete that folder then the emulator works perfectly. with that in then the whole emulator breaks, no matter which rom im booting.
Some kind of weird corruption bug with that game? very bizarre

Okay so this is looked into further, and what probably happened is that when the expansion of the folder memcard happened, there was a bug for a few hundreds of builds and you were caught in the middle of it.

So if you want to test the fix to verify it working, go into the below link. You do need a GitHub account then, click on the checks for the correct OS, click summary and scroll down for the one without symbols.
