Different Kind of Black Screen

Hi, I recently downloaded this emulator, and none of the games I've downloaded work to a certain part. For example I can get Midnight Club 3 to go to the press start screen then it goes black and I can only see flashes of white, same goes for Dragon Ball Z. Anyone know what could be causing this? I've also turned speedhack completely off, and it still doesn't work.
