Digimon Rumble Arena 2 won't start

Somehow the arrow key bindings on my keyboard don't seem to work with digimon rumble arena 2.

I am stuck in the initial step with memory card stuff and I can't switch to the option to continue without saving as the arrow key bindings won't work.

The bindings work perfect for other games I own only this one causes the problem.
