Digital Devil Saga 1
#1
I've made an account here more or less for this only. I've been reading here for a long time now, and been loving the project more than well, more than grilled cheese.

But anyway, to my issue. In SMT: Digital Devil Saga, my FPS seems to be going down from the normal ~60fps, down to 40-50fps very often. I use MTVU and have tried playing with the different speed hacks, but I've gained no to very low fps increase.
In general I use presets at 3 and find everything works quite fine with every game I play, the only differences being sprite heavy games, such as Atelier Iris and Mana Khemia.

So, what is doable to somehow help my DDS fps, or is there anything to do?
I use also nVidias own 3d settings for the launcher. Might that lower my fps so much just for pushing Antialias and Anithrosopic filtering?

If needed, here is still my emulog.

Edit1. : seems saving computer specs to my profile does not show it publicly. Specs are:
AMD Fx -4170 Quad-Core @ 4.21GHz
16 gigs Ram
Geforce 660 GTx

Edit2. : Gotten steady-ish fps at 58-60fps now. What I also gained, was a shaking screen. This with EE Stealing at 0 and VU stealing at 2. Every speed hack ticked except fast cd.

So check this out. I can get consistent 65fps on this and it STILL runs slow as molasses. I can put my speedhacks up, disable fps limit, fps skyrockets yet the game is still sluggish and drunk. Quite confounding, this one. Shame too. Finished Persona 3 and 4, and this game really looked like an appealing transition....

speedhacks can give false fps sometimes. what are the ee and gs percent ratings at the top of the screen during the slow downs with no speedhacks enabled. also its best to set nvidia control panel to have application determine settings as gsdx does a good job at these things. also when doing the test use native res to start.
