Digital Devil Saga recommended settings

Hi,
Recently I discovered the SMT series, and now I'm playing DDS, and will eventually play DDS2. I've searched the compatibility wiki, and didn't find the best settings for DDS, and thus, playing on default atm. I'm getting ~55-60 fps while walking, but when it comes to battles FPS drops to around 35-40, which is pitiful. I've tested DDS2 with the settings I've found, and the game runs smoothly @ 60fps, even when something like Hama or Mudo is casted.

So, can anyone recommend me the best possible settings for DDS1?

My specs are:

CPU: AMD A-10-4600 @ 2.3ghz (quad core)
GPU: Radeon HD 7660g
RAM: 6gb
OS: Windows 8

P.S. I really don't think that my rig is the problem, as I played over 90 hours of Persona 4 with constant 60fps.

Personia 4 is less resource hungry or what we called less demanding then devil saga thats why you get 60fps in game.
The 2.3 ghz of laptop is slow for pcsx2 emulation. Tick mtvu and you get some speed.

Even when fighting those yellow sparky ennemies ?
Did the fact DDS may be more demanding than persona 4 even come to your mind ?
