I assume you mean the black line that appears above them occasionally?

i mean the black line dividing their faces in two (vertical and centered), don't know what you mean "occasionally", you mean that only shows in some scenes or that it only shows sometimes randomly?

maybe it depends of ones rig, but for the games i have dx10 didn't gave any performance boost

oh yeah those, they show up pretty much in every cutscene, it seems to be a clipping/cropping problem, because that line seems to be the bottom of that same image, as if the image started to repeat itself and a bad cut was made at that point... i didn't test if that goes away in other settings, like native resolution, etc, but at least i know that doesn't show up in the dx9 version with the same settings..

i have both FFX and FFXII and i'm yet to see the speed boost, seriously, i actually made like 5 tests for each game depending on location and speedhacks, and the results were the same, no gain and no loss, actually dx10 in FFX adds an additional problem, the vertical black lines in their faces, and while FFXII has that additional problem too it fixes the "log z" related problems

i also have persona 4 and dx10 solves the "log z" related problems once again, but now the character talking sprites are bad clipped...

to me dx10 isn't better than dx9, just different, probably has a slight advantage because the "log z" related problems are more noticeable...

Why in the world do you try to insult me? I did nothing to offend you, unless you of course think this thread is your world's savior.

If it's so useful you could do everyone a favor and search, coz it was discussed here a trillion of times.
And if you cannot see the difference - so what? Are you saying "no guys, don't do dx10, dx9 is just fine!" or ..? You're free to play as you want. No difference for you? Great, it may stay that way Wink

Maybe there r no great difference with DX9 & DX10 on PCSX2, but it made great difference in the games that made especially for PC. (devil may cry 4 for example.)

there lots of difference between dx9 and dx10, lots of games get graphic glitches fixed with dx10, exemple Persona 3 FES, Rogue Galaxy, Ar Tonelico, Tekken 4, other get nice speed up, exemple XenoSaga, Ar Tonelico ( world map), if i am not mistaken Odin Sphere. There no reason not to use dx10 over dx9 (they both available on the same OS), only when there low speed or graphic glitches it nice to test dx9 hardware and dx10 Software.

yeah i am not saying that DX10 is bad. But some forums members in some threads says that DX10 gives a massive speed boost in all games. I have seen some differences in some games that DX10 wins over DX9.
