Would if I can get a game to run perfectly in software mode on directx9 (windows xp) will it work perfectly in hardware mode directx11 (windows 7)?

Depends on the game and what is it fixing with software mode... for most stuff fixed with software I'd say no... but tell us the game and what exactly is it fixing so we can make a better guess Tongue

This is true. However, you will be able to use DX10/11 Software on Win7, which may increase speed to some degree.
