Does RAM help out a lot for PCSX2

For DDR3, I would not go lower than 2133MHz (PC3-17000). However, DDR3 2400MHz seems more appetizing [drools]. DDR2 typically tops out at +/-1200MHz

DDR2 tops out @ 1333 Smile

anyway i have discovered that very small amount of RAM frequency might affect 1-3% of performance

specially while doing CPU benchmark 50 - 100 loss in frequency made me loss 4 FPS !

and i needed to downclock it otherwise the RAM will toast Tongue

1333MHz stable or unstable? FYI, that's not the world records. The highest that was ever achieved was 1800.80MHz on a DDR2.

Stable Smile My motherboard supports DDR2-1333 maximum. Mainly since it's a AM2/AM2+/AM3 motherboard with still the DDR2 MC on it, but u can use 1333 Mhz DDR2 Memory in it, though the only issue with this memory is that it is darn rare to get it Tongue Besides with my hardware I must run my memory @ 800 Mhz, even if I use 1066 memory, but that's probably due to the fact that some motherboards need u to put the memory one speed lower if u use all the banks Smile
