What's the exact error message you get with the SSE2 plugin in the beta? I'm curious.

You have a very very slow CPU (single core, low clock) so I suggest you play your games on your PS2 anyway, you'd need to get a new PC basically (the video card isnt great either) to get PS2 games working fine.

As for only being able to use the software renderer on the laptop, you probably need to update your DirectX there.

Now I've been trying to get this game to work, It loads fine, but as afore mentioned is rather slow... I was wondering are there specific settings that i should change or is it a computer problem...

Running: Intel® Pentium ® D CPU 3.40GHz
Windows 7 64 bit
4GB RAM...

I have the feeling it may end up being a computer problem... Any help would be appreciated =D

your CPu is your problem, actually...
Pentium D is an old CPU with old Architecture and won't giveyou good framerate under pcsx2 most of the time.
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go
