Dragon Ball z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Problems

When i load the game up and click new game it asks if i want to save to memory card but i cant click yes, no it highlighted and i cant move it over to yes, so i click no and then when it asks if i want to continue without saving its stuck on no also. thus meaning i cant do anything. please help
