Dragon Quest 8 proper settings?

I know. I just deal with the text because I like the HP bars to be correct, The cutscenes (not all) display a beige screen. Nothing on them really. Software mode does fix them. The sun flare never bothered me.

Bositman may be able to shed some light but I think first state means it has a check mark. Second state means it is boxed. See below:

I wonder if there is a way to enact both via some other method to fix both HP bars and text or not because one breaks the other...

Well, I'll keep it so the text is fixed.

HP bars I see alot less.

Such an intense PS2 game though, @ 4x resolution, it uses 50-70% of my GTX670. By comparison, FFX @ 6x + 16x MSAA = 40%

Always fun to see these numbers. Aha, I tried XenoSaga @ 6x + 16x MSAA and ahaha...twas priceless to see 99% GPU usage in PCSX2.

Thats Funny! Xenosaga and DQ8 are the most GPU demanding games I play. I cant play above 3x with my 6970 without getting slowdowns in many areas

Also, another thing I have noticed, just recently, maybe it's related to the half-pixel offset / Wildarms thing.

Water / slow moving menus are very jerky. in Software - they aren't.

Yes, I confirmed it by turning the hack off. Now slow moving 2D menus (Start menu) and water sources move smoothly.

I guess I'll just deal with the broken text.

I am experiencing another graphical bug. I encounter it on any metal object.

I get that too with some of the weapons. Software mode is the only way I know of to get rid of it
