PCSX2 Nightly - v1.7.5216
Intel® Core™ i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz  3.30 GHz
32.0GB Dual-Channel DDR4 (19-19-19-43)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER (MSI)
Windows 10 Education version 22H2
SHARP HDMI (1920x1080@60Hz) hdtv

This is the 1st time I've ever used pcsx2 to play a PS2 game.
I wanted to play my Dragon Quest VIII game with remastered graphics.
I found a youtube video with instructions and a link to a updated texture pack.
Just search for this on youtube.
Dragon Quest VIII: PS2 Remaster (FINAL) v1.2 | PCSX2 1.7.4

I installed the newest version of  PCSX2 Nightly - v1.7.5216.
I made a iso of my PS2 Dragon Quest VIII game disc.
I loaded the texture pack
The game looks great when playing.
Yangus looks great and so does the grass and trees in the background. The new text looks great also.

You can really see the improvements in this image.

The next images are the cutscene. You can see the jagged edges. I think there's no anti-aliasing.

I noticed in the next image that the walls and cobblestones look the way they did before I applied the new textures.

The next image is after the cutscene ends. You can see the new walls and cobblestones textures.

I don't know if these are prerendered cutscene videos or the new textures aren't loading for the cutscenes. The anti-aliasing doesn't work in cutscenes.
I've seen videos of the PS2 cutscene on youtube. There are a few jagged edges but not as bad as on my pc.
Any help would be great. If you need more info just ask.

You should also notices macroblock artifacts during the cutscenes (and also, lower resolution than the one you set) which means it was pre-rendered FMVs/videos.
Nothing you can do about it.
