Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 - Config for low Graphics & High perfomance?
#1
This is my laptop's info :
Operating System = Microsoft Windows 7 Home Basic Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Physical RAM = 2029 MB
CPU = Intel® Core™ i3-2330M CPU @ 2.20GHz
Speed = 2.194 ghz (4 logical threads)
Graphics Card = Nvidia Geforce 410M (512 MB DDR3)
Atm, The game's running at an avg. 40 fps during fights, sometime speeds upto 52-55, (idk why this speed hike happens though)
All the plugins I am using atm are the recommended default ones, actually this is my current plugins config :
Video (GSDX 5334 (MSVC 16.00 SSE 41)) :

Direct 3D 11 (Hardware)
Interlacing : Auto
Original PS2 Resolution : Native
Enable Shade Boost : Unchecked
Texture filtering : Checked (Not Boxed)
Allow 8-bit structures : Unchecked
Enable HW Hacks : Unchecked
Extra Rendering Threads : 0
Edge Anti - Aliasing : Unchecked

Audio : SPU2-X
Interpolation : Nearest
Disable Effects Processing : Checked
Module : X Audio 2
Latency : 100 ms
Sync Mode : Timestretch (Default Advanced Settings)
Audio Expansion Mode : Stereo

Emulation Settings :
EE/IOP : All recommended/Default sttings
VU : Default.
GS : Frame Skipping is disabled (Figured this one's used to speed up the game but the gameplay would be choppy, but would be better not to mess with something i don't know >.<, Help on this one would be great! :D)
Framelimiting : Default
Speed Hacks and Game fixes : All default.
Phew, that took a while D: By the way, thanks for helping me out if if you did xD

EDIT :
I just messed a bit with the Framelimiting part, just disabling it skyrocketed the game to 80 fps and not even a single bug or choppy gameplay!! just enabled it and BOOM O_O Now i changed Sound plugin (SPU2-X) mentioned above to this :

Audio : SPU2-X
Interpolation : Catmull Rom
Disable Effects Processing : Unhecked
Module : X Audio 2
Latency : 100 ms
Sync Mode : Timestretch (Default Advanced Settings)
Audio Expansion Mode : Stereo

Now that's gotta drain up for performance but it didn't o.O Now i got the game running in maximum sound graphics and speed! :D Now can anyone explain just what i really did here? >.<

Well, I have:
Operating System = Microsoft Windows 7, 32-bit
Physical RAM = 2037 MB
CPU name = Intel® Core2®Duo CPU 3.20GHz , 3.19GHz
Vendor/Model = GenuineIntel (stepping 03)
CPU speed = 3.188 ghz (2 logical threads)
Grapghic Card = Nvidia Geforce 410M (768 MB)

And DBZ BUDOKAI TENKAICHI 2 and 3 running at 35-40 fps.
For me 35-40 is GREAT!

35-40 is far away from a normal 100% speed, Also to run DBZ Tenkaichi 3 you really need to have a faster computer so it runs on 60 fps. (50 fps on a European game)

Ιf you get below 50/60 FPS (ie below full speed) and disabling the FPS limiter increases your FPS, it means your PC is being limited by power saving features or throttling mechanisms, which you should look into.

Will it run at 50 - 60 FPS with 4 GB RAM?
#7
RAM amount has no impact on PCSX2 speed.

So what does it need to get the full speed?PLzzz...help

a better CPU and a real GPU.
and as bositman said, make sure your laptop's power plan is set to "high performance"
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go
