"Dual Core" Computers

My specs are as follow:

Pentium D 3.0 GHzz
3GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM
8800GS (384MB RAM)

So I know when typically when you guys are talking about at least 3.2 GHz dual core processor you are referring to the core 2 duo, not my last generation processor right?

Also, my processor is technically a dual core processor so I can enable MTGS right?
And in any case how do you think FFX should run. I only get about 40 fps and was wondering if it was just because of my settings.

40 FPS might be down to the CPU, if you set it up right it might be the maximum you can get, read the guide again and see if you missed anything.

In any case FFX will only run at 50 max with the nloop hack (i think) so frame skipping might give you those 10 extra fps.
