I recently noticed some settings for the dualshock 4 in the pcsx2 settings & am struggling to get my dualshock 4 to be recognized by the emulator (wired or wireless). I've followed various guides & have had no luck outside of disguising it as an xbox360 controller using ds4 windows. I've seen one youtube video showing someone not having to do this, but it didn't work for me. I've read through pcsx2's controller support page & that wasn't much help either. Is there anyone in here that might have a solution to my problem? I'd love to not need ds4 windows & to actually use pcsx2's dualshock 4 features.
So far I've have managed to get windows to pair with the dualshock 4. This has let steam see it & even pcsx2 sees it in the connected devices panel in the control settings window. I've tried a lot of toggles & doing auto/manual input mapping, but to no avail.
Update:
Weirdly, I tried a few other games in my library & the dualshock 4 works perfectly fine. Only in soul calibur 3 will it not work. I do have a custom profile for the game, but it only makes it run in 16:9 mode. I tried a few other games i have set like that & the controller works in them. Even a friend tried this with their soul calibur 3 & they didn't have any problems. Does anyone have a clue what is going on?
