Dx update problem
#1
Hi guys,

I want to have my ps2 emulator running, but i can't fix te problem(s).
This is my second evening that i spend trying to fix it.
So hopefully you guys can help me.

I have installed version 1.4.0
I have installed the newest direct x, the one that is given in the links everywhere(microsoft site).
Still i get the warning, when i select the sse2 Gs plugin: "you need to update some direct x libraries, would you like to do it now"
But it won't work.

So when i select 'No" the error i receive is: "The plugin reports that your hardware or software drivers are not supported."

The specs of my pc:
AMD Radeon ™ HD6520G
CPU: AMD A6-3420M APU with radeon *Quad core processor).

If someone could help me i would be really thankfull!
Other forums are outdated and i it won't help.

If u need more information, then ask for it.
I really suck at these thing.

Thanks for responding.
I already have the latest version.
The zip package, with the setup.exe file.
I have installed like 4 times, because it still keeps asking for it.
Is it possible that my pc can't handle the update from direct x?

No i didn't.

It said it has completed the installation succesfully.

I've read some tutorials and followed it many times over and over again.

But still I get the errors about the GS plugins.

Do you think I need another plugin then sse2?

no. if you can't use SSE2, the other ones won't be available either.
Do you still get

or another error about plugins ?

You mean you downloaded an dx installation that is above 90mb or a small file(around 2.5mb)
If it's the second,try this
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download...px?id=8109
and if it's the first,do you have a file named d3dx11_43.dll in C:\Windows\System 32

And just to be safe, run the installer as administrator and restart the pc after that

It is the first one: "directx_jun2010_redist" 95,6MB
And the dll file d3dx11_43.dll is located at the map system 32.
But i've read somewhere that, because of my 64bits system i had to paste some dll files at C:\windows\syswow64.
Is it possible that these files somehow block the dll files in de system32 map?

I am talking about the d3dx9_xx and d3dx10_xx files
And the dxd311_42 and 43.

The installer should place x86 and x64 file in the correct folders, you don't need to copy=>paste anything
