As I understand it, in the PCSX2 GUI it goes from, top to bottom, least compatible (fastest) to most compatible (slowest), correct me if I'm wrong. So for example:
Clamping Mode (EE/IOP):
None (least compatible, fastest)
Normal
Extra + Preserve Sign
Full (most compatible, slowest)
So my question is as follows, if I am able to get full speed at all times in a game on the most compatible setting, would it be better for my "experience" to play on the most compatible setting? It would only make sense to play on the modes that are less compatible if you need more performance. Am I right or am I wrong here?
