Go under "Misc" and enable the Console.
Run the game.
Copy/paste the output written to the console.

Console windows are not user friendly. You must use the system menu (the icon in the upper right hand corner of the window title bar), and in there you'll see a section for Edit > and under it "Mark" / "Copy". Or alternative take a screenshot of the window. Click on it and use Ctrl+PrintScreen (captures the current window only). If you need further instructions on how to save screenshots or copy text from a console window, I suggest using Google.

Yeah, but you wouldn't believe how many people tell me the file doesn't exist or is empty, so I've kinda given up on using it as an information source unless someone already knows how to open it and read it. -_-

Alas, there's no useful info there. I don't know what's happening. It just freezes as soon as it tries to invoke the actual game code. The BIOS stub executes correctly, so that means the plugins are all running, and the emulator works. But the game apparently just locks or spins, which probably means a bad iso or something.

Just rip your own original DVD. Scratches are hardly an issue in most PC DVD drives, and even if it reads it too slow to play directly or skips, you should be able to rip it just fine (it'll just take longer). Also, there are a couple of methods of recovering scratched discs, which I won't cover here (google for the toothpaste method if you don't want to buy a commercial product).

I doubt you really have the original though.
