Emulator Absolutely will Not Work

I have no experience with emulators, and decided to give PCSX2 a try to play games unavailable in my region. While I was able to download and set up the emulator, as well as a controller, I have found that the emulator absolutely will not work with any of my ISOs - I either get a black screen or a "Please insert a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 disc". I have enabled the Skip MPEG hack, but this has no effect. Can anyone help me with this?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

You didn't try to load any game here. Did you at least configure your bios ? Did you dump it from your real PS2 console too ?

Using a BIOS file with PCSX2 which you have downloaded from the internet or from a PS2 console you do not own is illegal. You must own the console the BIOS file came from (even if it's broken) to be legal.
