Emulator breaking save file

So i was playing MGS3 and i saved the game and then shut off the emulator before heading off the computer, when i got back on the game and loaded the file it said "Data on memory card (PS2) is broken" not sure if this is something with the game or the emulator itself, any help is appreciated
