it's not an iso image !!

Most PS2 Atlus games use the DDS3 format, which is still readable, and the disc is NOT scratched. It's a brand new copy.

that's what you're doing wrong. Is your cDVD ripped to the PC? if so what did you use to rip it?

I didn't rip it: it just let me open and play it just fine. I've been able to play the game, but it randomly crashes, from anywhere between 5 minutes, to an hour.

check the emulog (in console) when it chashes it will likely give you an error but windows doesn't save it

What difference would this make, compared to running on the actual disc?

And is there a tutorial on how to use it?
