Errors on Official English guide
#1
This thread is for reporting errors / proposing suggestions / sending feedbacks on Official English PCSX2 configuration guide situated in http://forums.pcsx2.net/Forum-English-Guide Smile

Found errors on Official English guide v0.9.6 when translating.

GSdx
Quote:First of all GSdx comes in 3 versions,SSE2,SSSE3 and SSE4.

SSE4 supporting CPUs: Intel Core 2 Duo Penryn series, meaning the E7xxx and E8xxx models for dual cores and the Q9xxx models for quad cores
There SSE4 should be SSE4.1
(originally found in Spanish guide, thanks to that)

Quote:NLOOP 0 hack: This fixes some problems with Final Fantasy X. It is a very specific hack and should ONLY be used with Final Fantasy X.
There "NLOOP 0 hack" should be "NLOOP hack" as displayed in GSdx 890 shipped with official PCSX2 0.9.6

in addition to Final Fantasy X, this option should also be used with FINAL FANTASY X-2 to fix missing textures.

ZeroGS
Quote:Wireframe rendering: ...
You can toggle it while running a game by pressing and holding "shift" then press "F6".
Indeed, press F7 to toggle it.

Quote:Capture avi: You can capture a video of your gameplay just like the GSdx plugin. Press "F7" and a window will appear for codec selection.
...
Press ok and the recording process will start. Press "F7" again to stop it.
There F7 should be F12

move onto errors in sound department.

ZeroSPU2
Quote:Audio/video recording - When ZeroGS is loaded along with ZeroSPU2 it becomes possible to record videos with sound. Just open the configuration dialog box and check the Recording box.
To be exactly. You shouldn't check the Recording box, leave it unchecked by default, will record audio while ZeroGS is recording video, as we expected.

What would happen if checked the Recording box? PCSX2 itself will automatically record audio even though you leave it alone and don't press anything until you quit game.

might as well add Windows 7 to the list of DX10 compatable OSes, since the RTM is out it's only a short matter of time before it's out fully. When 0 hour hits on october 22 I'm going to put it in the Spanish guide lol

Yeah, I've seen Windows 7 added in Spanish Guide. in addition to Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 supports DirectX 10 too, we might also add it.

However I think people should know any Windows made along with Vista (Windows Server 2008) or after Vista (Windows 7) would support DirectX 10 already. So I haven't made a decision yet.

Fixed ZeroSPU2 (blame zero,he's the one who wrote it lol) and added Windows 7 (still a bit early and won't add 'and newer' yet since even 7 isnt out yet Tongue)
Thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming Wink
Also check my replies here: http://forums.pcsx2.net/thread-2299.html for changes. I changed the attachment links, edited all existing guides myself

RTM is release to manufacturers, so unless you are a manufacturer it isn't out for you, so for 99% of people it isn't (and download the rtm from the net is illegal obviously) Tongue
