Uhm well the RTM is available for people with Technet probably MSDN accounts too and besides the RC which is still legal has DX10 support anyway so I'd count it as being out Tongue

Nope not on MSDNAA. But this is off-topic Tongue
About the guide, Shadow Lady suggested I change the CDVD plugins order, since the first listed EFP ISO isn't even on the 0.9.6 pack nowadays...
It's a nice idea but I don't think it would change anything Tongue Note that every change I make then has to be mirrored by 15 other people so i try to keep it minimal or collect lots of changes for big updates

EFP ISO thingy not included on Windows version of PCSX2 0.9.6, whereas linux version have libCDVDisoEFP.so in its plugins folder, might include both EFP Iso CDVD v0.6.0 and EFP polling CDVD v0.4.0 in it. Haven't tested yet since I have no Linux.

We haven't included it since windows users already have linuz iso and peops/cdvd gigaherz which actually do the same job

beneath Dev9 and Usb

Dev9
Quote:Here are the plugins that handle the HDD(hard disk drive) and ethernet emulation. There are 2 plugins included in the release package,Dev9null v0.3.0 yet another Null plugin which is exactly like all the other ones and Dev9 Giga-raziel which partially emulates the PS2 ethernet (HDD emulation not working).
"Dev9 Giga-raziel" no longer existing in PCSX2 0.96, should we still retain its description?
However, it's shaped on PCSX2 0.94 and named DEV9giga_razi.dll

Usb
Quote:Here are the plugins that handle USB(Universal Serial Bus) emulation. The release package includes the USB Null v0.4 which is yet another Null plugin and Qemu USB driver v0.1.0 by Gigaherz.
In USB Null press Configure to get a menu with a checkbox where you can check/uncheck "Enable Logging" which will enable/disable usb logging. As said, it should be used from developers only.
Qemu USB driver was developed to work with Monster Hunter for the online play so it will not work with almost nothing else. Since it emulates more than the null plugin, it might help in game compatibility when you use it.
There "USB Null v0.4" should be USBnull v0.5.0

"Qemu USB" no longer existing in PCSX2 0.96, should we still retain its description?
However, it's shaped on PCSX2 0.94 and named USBqemu.dll

Yes I keep these there for reference, I know they are no longer in the 0.9.6 package. So these are just there just for historic purposes, I think they do no harm being there

" to take advantage of all cores you processor might have, "
I think it is grammatically " your processor might have " not "you processor " Smile

Speed Hacks
Quote:Escape hack: Not really a hack, does what it says. It makes it possible to go back to the GUI when running a game in full screen by pressing the ESC key.
Indeed, you go back GUI without this hack.

as explained in section of Speed Hacks box in PCSX2 emulator.
Quote:Escape Hack - Use Esc key to fully exit PCSX2.
