[FATAL FRAME] It's so hard to take pictures of the ghosts
#1
IDK but I have to point at a fixed position for the circle to appears. So it's so hard to battle the ghosts. I have to use medicines, etc even in the start.

Are you just saying ghosts are hard or are you actually looking for help?
Are they hard because its a bug or because the game is designed that way?
If its the latter this might not be the right forum.
Specs:
CPU: C2D E8400 @ 3.6
GPU: GTX 560Ti 2Gb
MOB: Asus P5QL
RAM: Crucial 4Gb

That's a known problem and the fix is to play this game in GSdx software rendering.
It won't work correctly in hardware due to missing depth buffer downloads.

No, It sure is a bug. You know that the circle flashes when pointed at the ghost but it doesn't, it only flashes when we position the circle at a certain part of the ghost, It should flash when pointed at any part of the ghost, In short I just can't point anywhere at the ghost like I can do on a real PS2.

Thanks it solved the problem but now some hidden Ghosts can't be captured like the very first 'Angry Ghost' on the wall near the stairs.
And other than that Miku got stuck near the door when I open the door and go back(the door which was hidden behind the screen). I mean I can still move, run but just can't leave that piece of ground, However I get rid of it by switching to camera/capture mode and move using the right stick. But still I can't go back through that door I always got stuck there no matter what, I tried in both Software and Hardware mode. Please help.

Under emulation settings, set both clamping mode to extra, or full it that still doesn't work.
keep in mind these may slow down the speed, switch back to normal after go through the door.

There's only one or two place you get stuck with normal clamping , if i recall correctly.
About cannot capture hidden ghost, don't have idea coz i completed without having such problem.
But i was using 0.9.6 version back then.

Thanks a lot, I also solved the Hidden Ghosts problem by using DirectX9 with 'Logarithmic Z' enabled

Never thought those were bugs. Got Fatal frame a few months ago but no controller so i just played it on PCSX2 and it was a bit hard.

I wanna Mention 1 new thing I found that with Logarithm Z enabled this problem doesn't occur even in Hardware mode. But everytime I restart emulator or just the game, the logarithm Z option is greyed out so I have to select DirectX10->Ok then again select DirectX9 and then Logarithm Z becomes selectable again, IDK why. So please for next time someone asks about this, remember this solution too. Hope this helps somebody ^ ^
