Try resetting all of the settings to default and if you have "Enable manual game fixes" enabled from game fixes,turn it off.
btw I think the same I thing exist while playing it on the PS2 too...and yes,it happens randomly. fade2black001 if you listen carefully enough,you will notest a difference in the sound quality between the first and the second time Lulu warn you. i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM

As for how it sounds on the PS2, I wouldn't know. It's been a long time since I've played the game on an actual PS2, and that was the North American version too.
